This is because of the speed that the vehicle travels in, it’s materials and the big variety of people traveling. “This is an epidemic” said Annika Silver. When the human fart-particles are exposed to the environment of a subway they transform. They can transform into viruses and illnesses that they have never been exposed to earlier and mimic the construction of particles and molecules in the people around it. This means that illnesses that were not contagious can contaminate new people when they breath in others farts in the subway.
SL is trying to fix this problem as fast as they can. They however recommend wearing masks, holding in your farts as long as you can and not to travel if you know that you have a severe illness.
