Discord servers suffer massive data breach from notorious hacking group "Lizard Squad"

"Another attack may be imminent."

The group "Lizard Squad", the notorious hacking coalition known for taking down the entirety of Sony's PSN servers on Christmas Day 2015 and continuing to limit service for the entire following month, have reemerged late last night to directly breach the popular online social networking application "Discord".  Over 200,000 accounts are presumed to have their data leaked, along with internal server configuration data and its regional data counterparts.  The internal security team reported the hacking group gained administrative control over multiple active servers, which may have led to intermittent voice chat disconnections and unwanted server commands such as kicking, muting, and deafening.  Discord has contained the problem and have performed a full server reset to flush out any remaining malicious intrusions.  However, Discord is urging all of its users to change their password to further insure the integrity of their account and the servers they are a part of.
Discord CEO Jason Citron ensures that, "we do not take these attempts lightly, and we will be closely monitoring all server traffic intensely in the upcoming months to further solidify that the problem has been resolved.  We pride our users for their commitment to our service, and we, as the premier social networking service for gaming communities, will vehemently track down all attempts to dismantle our infrastructure. We will further continue to update as we learn more in the coming weeks.

"Lizard Squad" has been known to attack in waves, so another attack may be imminent.  Stay tuned for updates on this article.
